How do you change an attitude of lack?

What do you do when you're wrestling with feelings of lack?   How do you handle it?  How do you change your thoughts ... and that feeling you get in your gut?  I have some thoughts, ideas, and things that I do but I want to hear from you.

Hey Shileen. I just read what you were saying about the ship in the harbor. I truthfully have not seen much tv/news lately, so I had not heard that quote. But, I really enjoyed it. Very powerful.
True, we should all put up our sails and venture out to deeper waters, even unchartered waters. The quote definitely paints a picture...Tracy

What I do to do away with the negative talk in my head is start writing affirmations or saying them. Over and over and over until I feel better. It really works, because after a while you notice that the good thoughts are there and not the bad ones. :) Thoughts become things... choose the good ones!
